THE
COURSE
Holyhead Golf Club
is sited on Anglesey at Trearddur Bay.
It was designed by James Braid in 1912 and offers a real challenge to
all, even without the wind.
It is an undulating seaside course with few trees but plenty of gorse,
heather and very rugged rocks. The greens are excellent.
A friendly club with a warm welcome for visitors. The Dormy House accomodation
is basic, but clean and hospitable. Meals are served in the clubhouse
and of a good standard. Not surprisingly, it is always very fully booked
and often by returning groups.
Mike Binns has for many years been organising the annual trip and there
is keen competition for the 9 places.
Following Mike's death in 2007 a trophy was created in memory of Mike
and will be presented annually on the Holyhead Trip.
